Kytchn is America’s first and only legally-compliant mobile app marketplace for food trucks, homemade meals, home-baked goodies and pop ups. Kytchn is a licensed Internet Food Service Intermediary through the California Department of Public Health (Food and Drug Branch), through which a Microenterprise Home Kitchen Operation may offer food for sale. Order a delicious, authentic, homemade meal (Microenterprise Home Kitchens) or a home-baked treat (legal Cottage Food Operations).

Kytchn has worked with professional chefs, amateur cooks, seasoned bakers and established and new food trucks and pop up street food vendors. We are new, but are working hard to provide greater accessibility to great tasting and healthy foods in your area.

HOW IT WORKS:

Kytchn is a location-based app. Food trucks in your area are mobile and often change locations. Because of this, they are unable to offer on-demand delivery from the major 3rd party delivery companies, until now. 

Kytchn has tapped into this crowdsourced delivery network and can update each food truck’s location throughout the day, allowing users to see exactly where a food truck is parked at any given moment. You can order a scheduled or on-demand pick up or delivery! Kytchn will arrange a delivery up to 12 miles from pick up to drop off, providing access to hard-to-find street food, homemade meals and vegan offerings!

Authentic, fresh, homemade meals are now available in California only! Riverside County became the first and ONLY county in California to adopt the Homemade Food Act and legalize the preparation and sale of homemade food. Talented cooks throughout Riverside County have taken a Food Manager Safety course and submitted an application to their local Department of Environmental Health and have been inspected. Once approved, these amazing home cooks are issued a permit to legally cook from home and offer meals to their community. These permits are called Microenterprise Home Kitchens. Kytchn provides these talented cooks with the resources they need to be licensed and permitted from their local health departments. Kytchn believes in responsible and ethical proliferation of this new food category by placing our values above profits.
